About the Canadian Environmental Grants Database
For Grantseekers:
Searches for grantseekers and others are available on:
- What grantmakers have given environmental grants to recipients/activities in this province/region?
- What grantmakers have given grants for work on a specific environmental issue?
Either search will provide a list of grantmakers with a link to their website (or contact information where no website exists).
Grantseekers are strongly encouraged to visit these websites, which include information on each grantmaker's current funding interests and programs, guidelines, criteria, restrictions, deadlines and application process. This is an important next step in your research that will help you to focus your fundraising efforts by identifying those grant programs that are the best potential fit with your proposal.
In addition to individual grantmaker websites, there are other good resources that provide further information on potential funding sources and approaches to fundraising. Several useful suggestions are provided in the Resources for Grantseekers section of CEGN's website
